It's all because of the Summer Solstice. They need much lighter ones now that it's officially summertime. Perhaps you had a Wiltshire Wanderer passing your way and she inadvertently shed those wings without thinking that it might be mistaken for foul play in an area not used to the shedding of faerie wings? The Accidental Authorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01146937745719946782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762097650357360739.post-46352215292542200072010-06-21T13:42:53.919+00:002010-06-21T13:42:53.919+00:00I suspect poor prince was making to dazzling a dis...I suspect poor prince was making to dazzling a display with his electric blue or maybe green outfit: life is hazardous for fairies!Tattieweaslehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10723634612274763884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762097650357360739.post-13904023533925083512010-06-21T09:02:53.347+00:002010-06-21T09:02:53.347+00:00Smiffy: Will keep a net handy in case I see her an...Smiffy: Will keep a net handy in case I see her and she looks dizzy!

'Cross the Pond: Maybe the gnomes are being a bit wicked and pulling the wings off unsuspecting fairies... As for the wings,I suspect Gnomes. A young one, no older than 200 or 300. I hope no one was hurt, just de-winged. Perhaps Mother Hen has the right idea to get them back to their rightful owners.(Isn't it fun to stop playing adult for a moment?)Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15005152935241167959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762097650357360739.post-61678163091931520622010-06-19T12:14:21.989+00:002010-06-19T12:14:21.989+00:00Mother Hen: Will do. They are very much prince wings as they are so dark.

That is what my daughter and I used to do anyway. This time of year there are a lot of fairie wings floating around, especially near rivers.
Good luck. xMother Henhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01669942398455478155noreply@blogger.com
