I'm a grown-up now. I have my own telly and car. Churches don't have telly and you're not allowed to drive up and down the aisles so I'm told. So.......sod 'em. Not that I don't have hazy fuzzy nostalgic thoughts about Midnight masses of old. Even used to be in the choir you know. Got a seat that way. And all back to No.2 for a right old knees up after for years. But that was then....... Got a bit 'should I do that Sunday thing?' when sproglets arrived but reasoned with myself that they could very well find something else to rebel against. No - happy being a lapsed one me. Much warmer that way. Glad you made it out alive tho'. Well done for the effort. Actually very impressed with your Ghengis Khan-ness. I also feel the urge to go to Church at Christmas. I don't know why. My mum is Wesleyan, my dad a never practiced Jew and I went to a Free Church so my religious upbringingf was confused to say the least. We missed the service in our village church by a whole day - it was on Christmas Eve. My mother has always told me never to underestimate how important the church is to village life but despite my best intentions we just never seem to get there.Wylye Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03513714783299643621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762097650357360739.post-8688498957413413682011-01-04T03:35:43.071-01:002011-01-04T03:35:43.071-01:00My wife makes us go too. We had told him on several occasions prior to this that he might not, on account of the bad behaviour the week before. "I know he's been" he huffed. "I don't believe in that naughty or nice nonsense".Wally Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05992375461165449990noreply@blogger.com
