A Marathon... with these boobies?!!!

Because I have so much spare time (cough, cough,) I'm embarking on something insane but fun. During the month of November I will attempt to write a whole novel with no less than 50,000 words.

OMG. In a month!? Are you serious?

Obviously it is with deep regret that I need to inform my family that they will be without food, pants or a mother for a month, but hey ho. I would like to thank 'Cross the Pond for inspiring me to attempt this adventure. But warn her that my hubby wants a word with her!

I'm not saying it will be a pretty novel, or edited or spilled corectily but I'm gonna try to do it, wish me luck! In fact, why not join me?... you know you want to....

  1. OMG 50,000 words in a month .... you are putting me to shame. I will rise to the challenge and try and do 5,000 words of novel two in November, will that do?

  4. Hello Lou! I found you over at Talli's and now following! :) It's good you also found out about NaNoWriMo...all the best to you! Unfortunately, I won't be able to do it as too busy right now, ugh. I'm sure you will do well! :)

  5. Ah, yes... NANOWRIMO has been recommended to me. I'd like to see how you manage with it! It's an interesting goal, 50, 000 words in a month because such a vast word count requires the author to limit or even avoid censoring the work. It encourages writers to banish their inhibitions in a very ambitious exercise!

Good luck! If it's really necessary, find a good sports bra.

  6. dulwich divorcee: Any words are good words, but this is quantity not quality. To get to my first draft of my novel in 30 days sounds thrilling. I can twealk in December.... if I live that long.

Joanna St James: Bugger! Plan? ....ermmmmm... yes; Superglue, bottom, seat. Have stated story outline and characterization now but on Nov 1 I will not go to bed till I've written 2500 words a day (I probably only have 22 writing days in Nov because of real-life commitments!) Arghhhhh.

    'Cross the Pond: Yes miss!

Len: Oh thanks for following, check in on me now and again to see if I'm still breathing! Nudge me and ask for word count tally, it might guilt me into carrying on.

loveable_homebody: Oh yes, I fear sports bra will be filled with choc-lit. I'm sure my attempt at this goal will be a 'daft' more than a draft but I'm v keen to stop vacillating and throw my story down.
