Swallows up the Amazon....

The last fledgling swallows are getting ready to fly to Africa. Another season is closing. Time to plant spring cabbages I fear.....

  1. I love swallows, how lucky you are to have had them! And isn't it kinda cool being so in touch with the cycles that you know when one thing happens it means it's time to do certain tasks (even cabbage planting!)? Re-reading that I sound like a cheesy version of Barbara Good. Pretend I sound less cheesy.

  2. I love the barn swallows that nest in a nook of my deck roof!! They always come back in the spring!

I have a New Giveaway from the French Basketeer and I think you will love it!

  3. I already miss summer, even if I complain about the heat so much...

  4. Michelloui: Not cheesy at all, mind you I've lost all my brussel sprouts to the catterpillars, (some whould say yipee to that, but I happen to like them at Christmas with bacon....)

Karena: I'd love to put a little tracking device on them to see where they go when they're not with us! (Sadly this is too technical for me)

Technodoll: Come over here.... virtually no heat in July and August! ... she said in a bitter and twisted voice....

  5. Too funny! I was going to mention the same thing about the "tracking device!" Or a mini-cam would be interesting. The Barn Swallows in our Barn have packed up as well. Tell me what would we do without Nature?
